News on Boys Club Development
The DEQ has scheduled a Public Hearing on the Permit Request for a Marina operation within the proposed "Open Basin" development complex of the Boys Club property. The Delta News staff is making final adjustments to the content and lay-out of this year's copy. In an attempt to contain costs, we will announce when and where members may pick up their copies as soon as they arrive from the printer. We will attempt to provide a convenient location and times for these pick-ups. We apprecite your helping us in this cost containment measure. |

board is also asking Association Members to consider volunteering
to become candidates for this fall's election to the association board.
It takes a a committment of a little time to support the association's
mission:
To
function as a
community service organization in promoting the welfare, education and
safety of the residents of Harsens
Island and the
St. Clair Flats. Just consider all the worthwhile endeavers
supported by the membership and the day to day operations conducted by
the board. We need you. |

is of great concern that some individuals insist on vandalizing all
manner of property on the island including our joint association
assets. Since late last year we have had the grounds of Browne's Field
torn up, trees litteraly uprooted and the signe defaced. We urge all
residents and visitors to be on the lookout for these vandals and ask
